Routes to begin

The English Way from Ferrol is one of the fastest-growing routes in popularity. Surpassing the minimum required 100 km, it stands as an excellent, short alternative with immense maritime and rural charm, perfect for walking comfortably by splitting the traditional long first day.

The city of Ponferrada is one of the premier starting points for the Camino by bicycle. Its location, just over the 200 kilometers minimum distance required to obtain the Compostela, makes it a strategic town for those two-wheel lovers who have just enough time to enjoy the Camino. The route along the French Way offers a perfect combination of mysticism, physical challenge, and breathtaking landscapes

The "Epilogue of the Camino" is the traditional, magical prolongation that sets off from the Santiago Cathedral heading towards the Atlantic Ocean. Heading to Cape Finisterre (the Roman "End of the World") and the Sanctuary of the Virgin de la Barca in Muxia, it is a route filled with mysticism, legends, and unique coastal sunsets.

The section from Sarria is the ideal and most popular route to obtain the Compostela. It gathers scenery, pilgrim culture, an excellent accommodation infrastructure, and the minimum distance required to request the certificate upon arrival in Santiago.

The Portuguese Coastal Camino de Santiago by bicycle is a very popular route that offers spectacular landscapes. The division of stages may vary depending on the pace and physical condition of each cyclist, but below is a proposal of common stages, generally starting from Porto.

The Portuguese Way from Tui is the second most popular option chosen by walking pilgrims. It crosses Galicia from the southern border in comfortable stages, offering low difficulty, spectacular rural landscapes, and an excellent service infrastructure perfect for families. The perfect Atlantic route for coastal walks, local gastronomy, and a scenic, crowd-free journey

The Camino Primitivo from Lugo covers the final 100 km of the ultimate historical route, allowing you to obtain the Compostela certificate. It is a moderately difficult option that runs through the most rural and authentic parts of inland Galicia during the first few days, later merging with the French Way in Melide.
